Thanksgiving 2024 Holiday Meals Help
With rising prices, government shutdown, mass layoffs, and the effects of the July 4th budget bill, this Thanksgiving is a difficult one for many families and individuals. We’ve compiled a list of programs and places that are offering Thanksgiving meals and Thanksgiving baskets to those in need.
Thanksgiving Meals
Catholic Charities – Bishop’s Holiday Dinner – Meal Delivery

These meals are delivered to home-bound elders and physically disabled individuals who would otherwise be without a holiday meal.

Bishop’s Holiday Dinner – Community Meal

We provide Thanksgiving and Christmas Day dinners with the Bishop at St. Paul Cathedral for people who would otherwise be alone on these holidays. Catholic Charities volunteers serve the noontime sit-down dinner to those with access to transportation at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in downtown Worcester.

Ziggy Bombs – Community Meal
Ziggy Bombs is opening its doors to host a sit-down community meal sponsored by Cruz Contracting and prepared by Trevor of R&R Jerk Chicken. All are welcome.

Mutual Aid Worcester (Facebook Group)
While the group isn’t sponsoring a single effort, there are a number of community members who are cooking and serving Thanksgiving plates on the holiday. In addition, community members in need are encouraged to post asking for help or to scan the page over the course of the day, as members frequently make posts offering extra helpings from their own kitchens.

YMCA Main St – Thanksgiving Joyner Feast
The Main St YMCA is hosting Joyner’s Thanksgiving Feast, with food provided by the Wachusett Country Club. He and his family will attend and will personally be serving the community.

Catholic Charities – Thanksgiving Turkey Basket
Sign up to receive a Thanksgiving Turkey Basket from Catholic Charities, with all the ingredients to cook Thanksgiving dinner at home. The last day to register is Friday, November 14.

If you and your family want to volunteer to help serve or deliver Thanksgiving Dinner for the Diocese of Worcester Bishop’s dinner:
