With just two days to go until Thanksgiving, many of the agencies that provide Thanksgiving meals have already filled their lists and distributed their meal baskets. We’ve compiled a list of last-minute resources for individuals and families who still need assistance for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanksgiving Meals
Catholic Charities – Bishop’s Holiday Dinner – Meal Delivery

These meals are delivered to home-bound elders and physically disabled individuals who would otherwise be without a holiday meal.

Bishop’s Holiday Dinner – Community Meal

We provide Thanksgiving and Christmas Day dinners with the Bishop at St. Paul Cathedral for people who would otherwise be alone on these holidays. Catholic Charities volunteers serve the noontime sit-down dinner to those with access to transportation at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in downtown Worcester.

Boulevard Diner – Community Meal
If you, or anyone you know has no place to go, are alone, or just don’t feel like cooking, please come by and spend Thanksgiving with us! Nothing makes us happier than to give back

Hours: 12 noon to 3 PM Thanksgiving Day
Cafe Neo – Community Meal
Cafe Neo resumes its 25 year long tradition of serving Thanksgiving dinner to anyone in the community who doesn’t want to be alone on the holiday at their new location.

Ziggy Bombs & R&R Jerk Chicken
Local favorites Ziggy Bombs and R&R Jerk Chicken are teaming up for their first community Thanksgiving meal. They’ll be setting up outside their downtown location, serving meals hot off the grill for all who come by.

Hours: 12 noon to 2 PM
Mutual Aid Worcester (Facebook Group)
While the group isn’t sponsoring a single effort, there are a number of community members who are cooking and serving Thanksgiving plates on the holiday. In addition, community members in need are encouraged to post asking for help or to scan the page over the course of the day, as members frequently make posts offering extra helpings from their own kitchens.

If you and your family want to volunteer to help serve or deliver Thanksgiving Dinner for the Diocese of Worcester Bishop’s dinner:

Several members are cooking Thanksgiving dinners for the general community. Some are requesting volunteers to pick up meals and deliver them to people who can’t come pick up for themselves.
